Want to smooth away wrinkles, even out pigmentation and intensely renew your skin? Look no further than Erbium laser resurfacing, a highly effective treatment designed to improve skin concerns such as superficial to moderately deep lines and wrinkles. Erbium lasers are widely-renowned for their precision — with more depth control built into the treatment platform, we’re able to target smaller areas for ultimate accuracy. The Erbium laser is also safe and effective for more sensitive areas, like the face, neck, hands or chest, and may be safer than other laser treatments for those with deeper skin tones.
Erbium by Rohrer Aesthetics offers the following treatments:
- Q-Switch for toenail fungus removal.
- Erbium Yag for removing surface pigmentation and wrinkles.
- Long Pulse Yag for treating visible veins, cherry angioma and rosacea.
- UltraLight for prompting collagen production, removing redness and improving pigmentation with LED wavelengths.
Erbium laser skin resurfacing can help:
- Prompt collagen and elastin growth
- Tighten lax skin
- Soften skin
- Diminish age spots
- Improve hypo- or hyperpigmentation
- Minimize fine lines and wrinkles
FAQs: Erbium Laser in College Station, Texas at Artisan’s Rejuvenation Med Spa
How does Erbium laser skin resurfacing work?
During treatment, we will apply the Erbium laser to the specific treatment area and depth of skin to address your unique skin care needs. Erbium lasers interact with water in the body to cause controlled damage to the skin. This stimulates the body’s healing response, prompting production of new collagen and elastin for a glowing, intensely refreshed complexion.
Is Erbium laser treatment painful?
Since Erbium lasers penetrate deeply into the skin, we minimize this discomfort using a numbing agent that’s applied prior to treatment. For those with low pain tolerance or anxiety, we always offer Pronox™ laughing gas for relaxation and to minimize the perception of pain.
What can I expect after treatment?
Following your treatment, a non-stick dressing will be applied to the treated areas for 24 hours. After removing the dressing, you’ll be required to cleanse your skin two to five times a day with a saline solution followed by the application of a protective ointment like Aquaphor® to keep your skin hydrated and minimize scabbing. Side effects like redness, bruising and mild swelling last one to three days, after which you may experience another two to three days of skin flaking. Your skin will fully heal after one to two weeks.
Is there any downtime?
Downtime may last up to one week following your treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
Significant results can usually be seen after just one treatment, but you may need several treatment sessions to achieve your desired results. Erbium laser treatments can be repeated in six to 12 months after initial treatment.
