How do you feel about watching your body slim down this spring after undergoing a leading body sculpting treatment at your favorite medical spa? Sounds pretty spectacular, doesn’t it? We think so, too!
To help make your body contouring treatments even more enjoyable this season, we’re offering special savings for two distinct body contouring solutions: Kybella® and CoolSculpting®. Be sure to check out our specials at the end of this blog. In the meantime, here are a few FAQs on CoolSculpting and Kybella, plus information on how these distinct body sculpting treatments can work for you!
How does Kybella work?
Kybella is the first and only FDA-approved injectable for submental fat reduction. It’s made of a modified form of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that helps to break down fat. When Kybella is injected into specific, targeted areas like under the chin, the deoxycholic acid goes to work breaking down the fat molecules and revealing a slimmer and trimmer profile. A series of treatments will achieve your best results, and we will work with you to determine the ideal regimen for your needs and goals during your consultation.
What’s a Kybella treatment like? Is it painful?
Kybella involves a series of injections under your chin. First, we will numb your entire treatment area. Next, we will carefully map out your treatment sites, drawing tiny dots under your chin so we know precisely where to inject Kybella. The Kybella needle is very short and thin, essentially feeling like a little prick as it is being administered. Treatment is relatively quick and well tolerated.
How does CoolSculpting work?
CoolSculpting is the world’s most popular non-invasive fat reduction treatment. It works almost anywhere on the body by freezing away fat cells through a process called cryolipolysis. Using non-invasive cooling applicators, CoolSculpting freezes and disables targeted fat cells, which eventually get flushed by the body in the months following treatment. CoolSculpting can help reduce chin fat with a series of treatments. It is also FDA-cleared for the abdomen, back, thighs and upper arms.
Do you need Kybella or CoolSculpting?
Both Kybella and CoolSculpting are proven and highly effective fat busting treatments. Determining which treatment is right for you will depend on several factors, including where you need to slim down and your downtime preferences. For example, Kybella involves swelling immediately following your treatment. Swelling is a great sign because it means your treatment is working! We recommend wearing turtlenecks and scarves to conceal your swelling, which subsides within a week or so. Kybella also involves several small injections, which may be a deterrent for those who dislike needles. Rest assured, our team has successfully treated thousands of patients and will help guide you toward the ideal treatment for your unique needs.
