Aging — in and of itself — is completely natural and certainly nothing to fear. That doesn’t mean we have to accept the changes in appearance that accompany the aging process, though. We encourage you to be proud of your age, no matter what it may be at this moment, because you have earned it! But it’s also natural to not love the look of wrinkles and loose skin as it appears on our face, neck and chest, in particular, as this is where it often shows up first and is most obvious. That’s why our dedicated team here at Artisan’s Rejuvenation Med Spa is proud to provide Ultherapy® — a non-surgical and more subtle alternative to a facelift.
This month we’re offering specials on Ultherapy to help you get started. Our Ultherapy Christmas in July Flash Sale is happening July 20-31! Get all of the details on our Specials page.
Here’s what you should know before deciding if Ultherapy might be the right path for you to effectively “pause” the aging process for your skin!
What is Ultherapy?
Ultherapy is the only treatment that is FDA-approved to non-invasively lift the skin of the eyebrows, neck and chin, and even improve the appearance of the décolletage. We love providing Ultherapy because it’s a non-invasive and no-downtime anti-aging solution that works for every skin type and tone!
How does it work?
Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy to stimulate healing in the deeper, fundamental layers of the skin, also known as the dermis. Once this ultrasound energy reaches the dermis, it begins to heat up the structures there, spurring increased production of collagen and elastin — two essential structural proteins. This heat also causes extra blood and healing growth factors to rush to the treatment site, thereby infusing it with enriching nutrients. Over time, the skin’s natural healing response visibly lifts and tightens the skin, improving its look and feel in the long-term.
How long does the procedure take?
One Ultherapy treatment can last between 30 to 90 minutes. Based on the area(s) being treated, the amount of time each procedure takes can vary. While areas like the face and neck take between 60 and 90 minutes, the chest typically takes only 30 minutes to treat.
Is there downtime?
Ultherapy requires no downtime! You can immediately return to your daily routine. Because the skin takes time to renew itself after Ultherapy, the results of treatment gradually appear over the course of two to three months, with improvements continuing through the following six months.
